Washing instructions are included with each fabric; our materials include delicate natural fibers such as silk, which should be handled with care to maintain their beauty.

What makes Fabric Collection cotton silk voiles unique is their washability. The general recommendation is to dry clean silk, but with only a 30% silk blend, you can of course hand wash it with a silk cleaner.

Be sure to use the correct detergent – preferably a pH neutral liquid detergent for silk. General detergent is not recommended as it can damage silk fibers. Ideally, hand wash clothes gently and inside out with plenty of cold water. Rinse and squeeze out excess water. Avoid removing excess water as this can wrinkle the fibers. Dry on a soft hanger or avoid direct sunlight. Cold iron reverse.

Here are tips for washing cotton and silk fabrics at home;

• Do not soak, bleach or wring
• Do not tumble dry
• Do not dry in direct sunlight
• Do not use hot water or a hot iron
